4th Annual Arizona K-12 Science Teacher Symposium

BIO5's 4th Annual Arizona K-12 Science Teacher Symposium is Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the BIO5 Institute on The University of Arizona campus.

The Symposium offers teachers from across the state professional development workshops, speakers, tours and a science education outreach resource fair, all designed to enhance science education in Arizona. Teachers leave with hands-on, standards-based lesson plans that they can implement in their classrooms and eight hours of credit toward recertification.

BIO5 Tours: Research, Art, Architecture

Tour groups are welcome to visit the Thomas W. Keating Bioresearch Building, home to the BIO5 Institute at The University of Arizona. Visitors will learn about the research, as well as BIO5's art collection and the architecture of the Keating building.

USA Science & Engineering Festival Expo

The BIO5 Institute presents "DNA Fingerprinting: The Case of the Jr. High Romance Riddle" at the USA Science & Engineering Festival Expo October 23-24, 2010 on the mall in Washington DC. Participants will learn whether our leading man went to the movies with another girl or was he just out with his cousin, as he claims.
