Work Summary

Francis Brown spent almost thirty years working in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry in the US and internationally. Initially with Upjohn , Francis held positions in sales, marketing, operations, training, pricing, medical affairs and generics. As the company merged with Pharmacia, he worked in Italy on the integration. Upon returning to the US he accepted assignments as Vice President of Institutional Sales and Global Vice President of Marketing. When Pfizer acquired Pharmacia in 2003, Francis moved to Celgene, a small biotech company, as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. The company experienced tremendous growth during his seven years at the company, becoming one of the largest biotech companies in the world. He held subsequent positions of Senior Vice President of Project Leadership and CEO of the Inflammation and Immunology Division until his retirement. Francis has a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Arizona.
