Research Interest
My research interest have been focussed on understanding fundamental mechanisms that regulate antigen specific CD8+ T cell responses that determine tolerance or rejection of potential dangers such as cancer. By characterizing the molecular and cellular basis for antigen specific CD8+ T cell responses we have generated novel insights leading to therapies that have produced several IP (patents) based clinical trails for various cancers including ovarian, breast, melanoma, and GBM. Ongoing research is geared to understanding the combinatorial role of transcription and metabolic activity that regulated fate; function and survival, of antigen specific CD8+ T cells that can mediate protection against pathogens, tumor and or foreign tissues.
