Harnessing the power of technology, the BIO5 Institute will virtually connect University of Arizona faculty and researchers with representatives from biotech, biomedical, and life science companies at the FINE event this Thursday.

Sponsored by the Biotechnology Industry Organization of Southern Arizona (BIOSA), FINE aims to support university and industry innovators in life sciences, medicine, engineering, computer and information sciences as they pursue the commercialization of their discoveries, products and ideas. The event will also offer concrete opportunities for professionals to team up and pursue funding through Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grants.

Participants will provide a brief overview of their research interests and current work, in addition to the skills, equipment or expertise they desire or can offer in a partnership. A five-minute question and answer session will follow each presentation, and participants will have the opportunity to connect after the event to further discuss potential partnerships.

Sessions will be conducted via the Zoom videoconferencing platform on August 13 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, please contact Uwe Hilgert. Register at https://bit.ly/FINE2020_Reg.
