Dr. Bruce Walsh, associate head and professor of ecology and evolutionary biology, recently discovered a new moth in the Chiricahua Mountains to the east of Tucson. Dr. Walsh named the pink-winged moth Lithophane leeae after his wife, Lee, who is fond of the color pink.
