$960K Grant To Advance Research On Crop, Livestock Traits

Green crops on a farm
The Fence Post
Part of a multi-institutional collaboration, the University of Arizona has received a nearly $1 million grant from the UDSA’s National Institute for Agriculture to expand the Agricultural Genome to Phenome Initiative. The aim is to increase understanding of how genetic code affects physical and behavioral traits — or phenotypes — in crops and livestock, and to standardize and streamline how phenomic information is collected and shared by agronomists, researchers and others.
