COVID-19 Vaccine Reduces Severity, Length, Viral Load For Those Who Still Get Infected

Results of the AZ HEROES study show that people who contract COVID19, even after vaccination, have a lower viral load, experience a shorter infection time, and have milder symptoms compared to the unvaccinated. The study led by BIO5 member, Dr. Jeff Burgess, associate dean of research with the UArizona College of Public Health, followed Arizona first responders, health care workers, and other essential frontline personnel.
