Lazy Ants Make Themselves Useful In Unexpected Ways
In a study done by researchers, lazy ants are found to be not so lazy. Although Dr. Anna Dornhaus, UArizona Ecology and Evolutionary Biology professor and Bio5 member, first studied these ants in 2015, her new studies reveal that the ants act as a reserve labor force and fill in for lost workers in the colony.
