Announcing 2024 - 2025 BIO5 Ambassador Interns
Hanami Inagaki and Sam Rose Shawley will be working with public affairs team at the BIO5 Institute in marketing, communications, and event planning.
The BIO5 Ambassadors Internship program is entering its eighth year as an internship, providing University of Arizona undergraduate students the opportunity for an inside view into the BIO5 Institute. Each ambassador is matched with a mentor from the BIO5 staff and exposed to the business and outreach side of the research institute.
This year we’re excited to have Hanami Inagaki and Sam Rose Shawley and as our ambassadors.
Throughout the program, Inagaki and Shawley will focus on their personal projects with support and direction from their mentors. In addition, they will receive tour and event training, as well as participating in professional development workshops.
The internship at BIO5 has provided a platform for students to work on projects centered around their own passions, ranging from public health and medicine to finance and research. Take a deeper dive into the work of past alumni and more about the history and legacy of the BIO5 Ambassador Internship program.
We're thrilled about the upcoming semester with our new ambassadors and can't wait to see the incredible work they'll accomplish. BIO5 will provide updates throughout the program, so be sure to stay connected with us on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X (formerly Twitter).
