Hailey Bushey is a communications and marketing student assistant at the BIO5 Institute and a communication major with minors in public relations and CII (creative, intelligence, and innovation) at the University of Arizona. She supports social media management, event marketing, and public engagement across the institute.
She helps manage BIO5 and BIO5 Institute's KEYS Research Internship social media accounts and creates content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X. She also assists with coordinating special events and leads tours for visiting students, partners, and community members.
Drawing on her background in communication studies, public relations, and creative strategy, she brings a thoughtful and audience-centered approach to her work. This foundation allows her to create clear, engaging content that highlights BIO5’s impact and strengthens its connection with the community.
In addition to her communications work, she helps expand awareness of interdisciplinary research by sharing stories from across the institute’s scientific community.
She enjoys learning about the innovative research happening at BIO5 and sharing these discoveries with the public.
