Josh Fernandez

Josh Fernandez is a communications and marketing student assistant at the BIO5 Institute and a marketing major at the University of Arizona. He supports event marketing, community outreach and engagement, tour leading, and the ambassadors internship program.

He facilitates the BIO5 Ambassadors Internship program, organizing professional development workshops, coordinating tour training, and guiding interns as they develop skills at the intersection of science and business. He also assists with planning and executing events, giving tours, and supporting outreach initiatives throughout the institute.

Drawing on his background in marketing, leadership, and public engagement, he approaches his work with a focus on connection, clarity, and growth. These experiences have allowed him to build strong relationships, strengthen his communication skills, and engage effectively with diverse audiences.

In addition to his program and outreach support, he helps create welcoming, informative experiences that highlight BIO5’s mission and impact.

He enjoys creating meaningful connections through events, outreach, and tours, and seeing how his work helps people feel excited, informed, and welcomed into the BIO5 community.
