Mia Wissink is a communications and marketing student assistant at the BIO5 Institute and a communication and public relations major at the University of Arizona. She supports social media management, tour leading, and event coordination across the institute.

She manages BIO5’s social media accounts, creating content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X to help connect research with broader audiences. She also leads tours and supports events, helping share BIO5’s work in a clear and engaging way.

Drawing on her background in communication, public relations, and community engagement, she approaches her work with a focus on outreach, storytelling, and building connections between science and the public.

She enjoys giving tours and connecting people with the exciting research happening at BIO5.
