Peter Powers-Lake

Peter Powers-Lake is the senior accountant for the BIO5 Institute, supporting financial management and budgeting needs for administrative staff, faculty, researchers, students, and external partners.

He manages the financial aspects of six research labs, assists with grant proposal submissions, and oversees post-award grant financials. His role also includes supporting HR coordination and ensuring accurate financial and administrative processes across the labs he serves. With more than 30 years of accounting and HR experience, he brings a service-oriented professionalism to the diverse university research functions his work touches.

In addition to grants and lab financial support, he contributes to capital inventory management and helps maintain consistent, compliant financial operations within BIO5’s research community.
