Marissa Starks Banh is the Phoenix engagement strategist for the BIO5 Institute, supporting communications, outreach, partnership development, and cross-campus research coordination with faculty, students, industry partners, and community organizations.
She advances BIO5’s mission in Phoenix by fostering strategic partnerships, coordinating collaborative research efforts, and supporting institutional initiatives that bridge research and clinical communities. With experience in stakeholder engagement, communication strategy, and project management, she helps drive collaboration, visibility, and impact across the university’s research enterprise.
In addition to managing programs and events tied to statewide initiatives, she works to strengthen relationships with industry, government, and academic partners, helping build a unified network that supports innovation and discovery.
She enjoys building connections that bring together researchers, clinicians, and community partners to advance collaborative discoveries and strengthen BIO5’s statewide impact.
